law griffith AKA rooster | One of the most powerful slavers of Dustbowl, and leader of the most feared slaving clan. Twelve years go, Soysauce interrupted a slaving raid and killed Rooster's brother. Ever since then, Rooster has been determined to capture and enslave Soysauce, putting out an enormous bounty on him and hunting him down mercilessly.

lion duforet | Owner of a hoverbike garage-slash-mechanic's shop, and Soysauce's closest friend. Lion's father employed seventeen-year-old Soysauce as an assistant, where he got to know Lion, and they've been close since then. Strong-willed and fiery, but incredibly kind and supportive. The person Soysauce trusts the most in the entire world. Happily married to Lan since two years ago.

lan faulkner | A doctor and former slave. Dry, intelligent, pragmatic. Kind beneath his distant facade. Soysauce freed him six years ago. Unknownst to anyone, Soysauce also fell in love with him four years ago, but was unable to say anything out of fear that Lan would reciprocate his feelings out of obligation, not out of sincerity. Happily married to Lion since two years ago.

ignis | A friendly, attractive young man who's attended soysauce's performances a few times. Somewhat mysterious. Unknown to Soysauce, Ignis is a slaver stalking Soysauce in order to gather information on him -- and ultimately capture him for Rooster.

samson smith | A wandering gunman and fellow anti-slaver vigilante. A true Southern gentleman, incredibly charming and endearing. He and Soysauce are something a bit like lovers; Soysauce often accompanies him when he's out gambling, or out in the desert.

francis baskerville | Bartender and co-owner of the Houndstooth bar. Rescued from slavery by Soysauce at a young age, raised under his care for several years. Foul-mouthed, deadpan and cynical, but quite soft-hearted once you dig deeper beneath her biting attitude. An excellent bartender and a good listener. Fraternal twins with Victor.

victor baskerville | Bouncer and co-owner of the Houndstooth bar. Rescued from slavery by Soysauce at a young age, raised under his care for several years. Overly stoic and stone-faced. But well-meaning and actually quite shy. Excellent with his fists, and good at protecting the bar. Fraternal twins with Francis.

dylan | Waitress at the Houndstooth bar. Formerly a server at a different bar, but horribly betrayed by a friend who turned out to be a slaver. Saved from slavery by a mean-looking but kind-hearted, rich man who purchased and freed her. Friendly, charismatic, and extremely charming. Loved by many, and deservedly so.

vito dahling | Owner of the Quicksilver arms store, and Soysauce's good friend(-with-benefits.) Though too well-known to publically go against slavers without risking being killed, Vito does offer anti-slavers many under-the-counter discounts and special products.

celie gray | A fellow anti-slaver who Soysauce sometimes works together with. Horribly scarred, and vicious against slavers. Less efficient in her brutality, sometimes to a degree that frightens Soysauce. And yet, a reliable ally.
